Wind-down and passing
Yes, this is the Netherlands, we know. Training can start with sunshine and heat and then end with cold and rain. Also, you read that right. Training and not trainings plural, since the day after Wednesday’s friendly win over Go Ahead Eagles requires special management.
The morning was dedicated to winding down and to the gym, with the players having the freedom to follow their own schedule depending on their workload. Two of them, Andre Ricardo and Giannis Kargas, preferred to stay in the gym in the afternoon as well for precautionary reasons, since they were only integrated into the squad’s training in the last few days and therefore had been stretched the most physically.
Lefteris Lyratzis, who suffered a sprain in the match against Go Ahead Eagles, also received treatment and his condition will be assessed daily. Vieirinha carried out a reintegration program, while Michailidis continued with his comeback… fight.
The rest of the group worked on the training pitches doing some tactics and passing, while also working on breaking up opposition attacks.
On Friday (01.07) the PAOK squad will get back to doing double training sessions.
