International call-ups and fixtures
While the club’s season is over, there are still some obligations to take care of for several of PAOK’s players who are on duty with their respective international teams.
Alexandros Paschalakis is among Gustavo Poyet’s selections for Greece’s UEFA Nations League’s matches. The Greeks face Northern Ireland (02.06, 21:45) and Kosovo (05.06, 21:45) away from home, before welcoming Cyprus (09.06, 21:45) and Kosovo (12.06, 21:45) to Greece.
Andrija Zivkovic is again in Serbia’s squad. Zile is included for the Serbians’ home matches against Norway (02.06, 21:45), and Slovenia (within 05.06, 21:45), as well as the two away games against Sweden (09.06, 21:45) and Slovenia (12.06, 21:45) – all in the UEFA Nations League.
Jasmin Kurtic will also be in action for Slovenia in two derby games against Serbia home and away, as well as for the matches against Sweden (02.06, 21:45) at home, and Norway away (09.06, 21:45).
Alexandru Mitrita is also in the Romania squad which face Montenegro (04.06, 21:45) and Bosnia & Herzegovina (07.06, 21:45), as well as Finland (11.06, 21:45) and Montenegro (14.06, 21:45).
Also in UEFA Nations League action is Enea Mihaj for Albania. The Albanians face Iceland (away, 06.06, 21:45), Israel (home, 10.06, 21:45), and Estonia (home, 13.06, 21:45).
Diego Biseswar will be part of Suriname’s efforts in the North and Central America and Caribbean Cup. Suriname face Jamaica at home (05.06), then the same opponents away (08.06), and then Mexico away (12.06).
PAOK are also represented at Greece Under-21 level by three players. Head coach George Simos invited Christos Talichmanidis, Lefteris Lyratzis and George Koutsias for the two remaining matches of their qualifying group for the European Under-21 Championship (with Portugal on 06.06 and Cyprus on 11.06).*
Ismail’s Ouendraogo is again included in the Burkina Faso squad. The PAOK B player has been called up for the matches of the qualifying phase of the African Cup of Nations against Cape Verde (03.06) and Swaziland (07.06).
*Chars Tsingaras was also selected, but due to an ongoing injury niggle he will not be able to take part for the Greece Under-21 side.
