Paschalakis wins Fans’ Man of the Match award
Alexandros Paschalakis came out on top in the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match award for the second leg of the Greek Cup semi-final tie against Olympiacos at the “Georgios Karaiskakis”.
PAOK celebrated a great qualification inside the Olympiacos’ own backyard, battling against everyone and everything to book a ticket for the final against Panathinaikos, with the aim to win another trophy clearly in their sights.
The game in Faliro was an rip-roaring derby clash. A tough 120-minute battle from which PAOK emerged triumphant. There were many major protagonists, and one of them was undoubtedly Alexandros Paschalakis.
The Goldkeeper eliminated any danger that he faced, and was only beaten by a penalty kick. He was there when the team needed him, and he also guided the entire defensive line perfectly.
In the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match, it was Paschalakis who collected 28.1% of the votes to win the individual award yet again, as he has done on numerous ocassions this season.
In second place was Antonio Colak, who came off the bench and scored the equalizer, while the podium was completed by the amazing Lefteris Lyratzis, who did everything he was asked of and more in all areas and phases of the match.
