After three days of truly unprecedented events in the city of Marseille, with the intolerance and responsibility of the local police, it is outrageous to read announcements from the latter trying to shift responsibility for the unprecedented mess on the Greek side.

In a city with the highest crime rates, with a series of attacks on almost all of Marseille’s «rival» fans, it is at least ironic that their Police Directorate seeks to shift responsibility elsewhere.

A police force that had confidential information on the schedules and routes of official groups, information that not only leaked, resulting in attacks by hooligans on officials and the group buses, but also that were not used in the end to protect the team hotel from an organized attack.

The local Police Directorate that stubbornly refused to abide by the original agreement for a specific meeting place and organized transfer to and from the Velodrome for 3,500 excursions until its new fold 5 hours before the race, urging by then individual movement in groups of two and three without insignia (!!), through the crowd of Marseille fans.

In general and with our witnesses both the opposing team and the Greek consulate, PAOK FC ,with superhuman efforts and reinforced security personnel, preserved the observance of even the most ridiculous instructions of the French Police, which were huge in number.

Their attitude and their announcements simply confirm their inability to impose order in an otherwise wonderful, as well as inhospitable place, with the videos of all kinds of attacks confirming what we are saying. Fortunately, we did not end up mourning any fatalaties due to the monumental incompetence of the Bouches-du-Rhône Police leadership.
