PAOK made history against Midtjylland, overturning the 1-0 loss from the first leg by prevailing 2-1 at the Toumba to take the game to extra time and then eventually going through to the last 16 of the UEFA Europa Conference League via a penalty shootout.

One of the highlights of the Toumba match was Andre Vieirinha’s incredble goal. The Leader may not have scored as often in recent years, since he is playing usually at full-back, but when he does, he makes sure that it’s impressive.

Against the Danes, the defenders tried to clear their lines, but the ball fell to the Portuguese on the edge of the penalty area. He showed great technique to bring a bouncing ball under control instantly, before stepping forward and lashing an unstoppable effort past the opposing goalkeeper with an incredible finish.

And in the battle for the Regency Casino Best Goal for February the competition was fierce. Kurtic’s epic strike at the OAKA against AEK, and Sastre’s rocket against Panathinaikos at the Toumba were also in the running.

But, the public vote via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App finally saw The Leader claim the prize. Kurtic was second, while Sastre completed the podium.
