15 PAOK youngsters earn national team call-ups
PAOK are heavily represented in Greece’s youth teams. Six players from the Under-16 (2006) side received the call, and nine from the Under-15s (2007) were invited for training ssessions which are planned from March 5 to 7 in Litochoro, Pieria as far as northern Greece is concerned.
Specifically, from PAOK’s Under-16 side, George Koupenos, Konstantinos Polykratis, Stathis Panikidis, Vassilis Papageorgiou, Grigoris Politakis, and Konstantinos Karaioannou were included, and from the Under-15 team the names are: Stathis Beleris, Pavlos Tsiotas, Dimitros Konstantinos Sellas V Eleftheriadis, Giannis Tsifoutis, and Antonis Tsitsilas.
Meanwhile, in the second friendly match that took place in Bulgaria against the respective national team, Greece’s Under-17 side prevailed 3-1, with PAOK’s Taxiarchis Filon scoring the second goal. This was the last friendly for the Under-17 team before the start of their official competitive obligations in the first group of the Elite Round of the UEFA European Under 17 Championship 2021/22 that will be held in the Netherlands (March 24-30).
