On his experience of the successful European qualification against Midtjylland:

«It was a very good atmosphere, a very important game for us, it was one of those games from which you can grow as a team. Now we have to switch focus to the Greek league. We have many players that can help to give the team freshness, because everyone wants us to get to the point of becoming champions again.»

On the transition from Europe to the domestic league:

«For me it is normal, because in Brazil during the last year there were games every three days. It is definitely not something easy because there are games that have great tension, and demand very much of you both mentally and physically, so you have to make sure you do very good recovery training to avoid injury in the next game.»

On his return to PAOK:

«I am very happy, it’s my family here. I have enjoyed some very beautiful moments, with the coach, with my teammates, and my family is here. I like the city, so I’m happy.»

About what has changed for him personally:

«It’s totally different from when I first came, I am more experienced. I had a very difficult time with my injury and I think I have returned stronger.»

On Lucescu:

«He has helped me too, because he is a man who has shown great confidence in me. He contacted me after the end of the season in Brazil and asked me to come back. I think all players would like to have such a coach, someone who does not talk too much but who helps his players and is always trying to make them better.»
