Sastre introduces himself with a… worldie
Joan Sastre’s stunning strike at the Panthessaliko against Volos came out on top in the voting for January’s Regency Casino Best Goal.
He only needed a few minutes to show his credentials on the pitch. Joan Sastre was given a place in the starting lineup against Volos, and celebrated his debut with a superb goal.
It all started from A. Zivkovic’s corner. Sastre moved into position smartly, avoiding a defender in the process, befiore producing a powerful shot which gave the opposing goalkeeper no chance.
In the poll for the Regency Casino Best Goal of January, the Spanish full-back received 57.48% of the votes to win the award.
In second place was Kurtic’s powerful shot in the match with OFI at the Toumba, while Leo Jaba completed the podium with the clever finish he produced in the home victory over Panetolikos.
