PAOK lost in Denmark, but the 1-0 defeat at the Arena Herning leaves the tie still very much in the balance in view of the second leg at the Toumba. The Double-headed Eagle were well-organised and focused at Midtjylland, but unfortunately they did not manage to score, despite the fact that they had most of the possession and control of the game.

Lefteris Lyratzis was one of the top performers for Lucescu’s team. The young right back started the match and produced a solid display. He was impeccable defensively, while he also offered some important assistance in attack for his team.

In the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match, it was Lyratzis who collected 34.48% of the votes to win the award.

The excellent Ingi Ingason came in second place, while the podium was completed by Andrija Zivkovic who put in the kilometers and caused the opposing defenders plenty of headaches.
