Kurtic wins Fans’ Man of the Match award

Jasmin Kurtic came out on top in the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match award for the 2021-22 Greek Cup quarter-final, second leg clash with AEK at the OAKA.

PAOK had another unforgettable night at the OAKA. Despite having their backs to the wall until the 95th minute, the Double-headed Eagle found the mental reserves and turned the situation around, scoring two goals to get the victory they needed and a ticket to the semi-finals of the Greek Cup.

Jasmin Kurtic has emerged as one of the club’s many captains. In yet another big game, the Slovenian showed his quality. Apart from an excellent all-round performance throughout the match, he was the man who put his signature on the win with an incredible goal.

The Sniper collected the ball after the Union defenders tried to clear their lines. He skipped sideways past a defender, however, and then scored with a flawless, curling finish to to equalize at 1-1.

In the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match award, Kurtic received 68.13% of the votes to win the award once again.

In second place was Alexandru Mitrita, who came off the bench and changed the balance of the game, while also scoring the winning goal with an excellent finish from the edge of the penalty area, while the podium was completed by Jose Crespo, who played his heart out while showing great character on the pitch for his team, celebrating the qualification on the day of his birthday.
