Under-17s win in Xanthi
With much more ease than the final 2-1 scoreline suggests, PAOK’s Under-17 side defeated Xanthi and moved on to 37 points, a feat which sees them remain top of the league standings. The next game, which is the last of 2021, is against PAS Giannina on Thursday (23.12).
PAOK took the lead in the 19th minute, when Scznaucner produced a nice piece of individual skill to set up Adam who scored to make it 1-0. The hosts equalized in the 40th minute, however Politakis struck in the 74th minute, converting Ignatiou’s assist, to make it 2-1 to PAOK. Four minutes later teh Double-headed Eagle almost made it 3-1, but Scznaucner’s effort hit the woodwork.
