A tough month by all accounts. With some bad luck and difficult moments, situations which tested the team’s resolve. That’s the nature of football, however, and now PAOK are trying to find the road to recovery and reach the level everyone at the club wants, with the players called upon to improve their performance. The first candidate is Andrija Zivkovic. The Serb continued with his foot on the gas for another month. He scored against Copenhagen at the Toumba, served up an assist for Chuba Akpom’s goal against Panathinaikos at the «Apostolos Nikolaidis», showed both stubbornness and passion even when everything went wrong, and was a permanent danger for opposing defenses, as well as helping out at the back.
In order for Zile to repeat his success of October, however, he must beat off the challenge of two tough opponents. Jasmin Kurtic has brought personality on the pitch as well as character for the difficulties the team has faced. He scored two goals against Panathinaikos, one from the penalty spot and another amazing free-kick, while he offered countless battles in the center of midfield.
Finally, Alexandros Paschalakis cannot be left out of this conversation. The Double-headed Eagle’s Greece international goalkeeper made some great saves in last months matches and fought with all his might to contribute to the team.
