Jasmin Kurtic’s free-kick goal against OFI in Heraklion has been crowned the Regency Casino Best Goal for October following the voting via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App.
Free-kicks were his specialty long before he came to PAOK. From the day he wore the black and white jersey for the first time, we were simply waiting for the first one to come. And it came in Heraklion against OFI and it was sumptuous.
The Slovak persuaded Vieirinha to give him the honour and they were both proved absolutely right. Kurtic sent the ball curling into the corner where the opposing goalkeeper could do nothing to prevent it from going in and that goal essentially locked up the victory for the Double-headed Eagle.
In the voting for the Regency Casino Best Goal for October via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App, the PAOK midfielder garnered 43.7% of the vote and won the award.
Karol Swiderski came a very close second. The Pole scored a beautiful goal against Apollon Smyrni at the Toumba Stadium after a magical pass by El Kaddouri.
The trio was completed by a perfect finish from Andrija Zivkovic in the home game against Volos.
