PAOK were merciless in the first half, making a superb start and going 3-0 up by the 20th minute with three goals from Politakis. The first came in the first minute when Politakis skipped past several challenges before scoring with a powerfukl shot. Then, in the 18th minute, he took advantage of Scnauzer’s assist to make it 2-0, before converting another Scnauzer pass and in the 20th minute for his third.

In the second half, Aris found a response and pulled two goals back to make it 3-2 with goals in the 52nd and 65th minutes. In the 74th minute, however, Gitersos won a penalty that was converted by Georgiadis for 4-2, and then finally in the 86th minute, Vassiliadis scored from an assist by Filon to completed the scoring at 5-2.
