Under-19s defeated by Aris
PAOK’s Under-19 side had a difficult afternoon in Souroti, going down to a 3-2 defeat to Aris in a match during which mistakes cost the home side despite them producing a determined display and having the lion’s share of possession.
PAOK lost a match in which they twice fell behind and managed to level matters before the final goal of the game. The home side also hit the crossbar, as well as missed two good chances to take the lead before Aris had the last word in the 85th minute to take the three points.
The visitors went ahead for the first time in the 39th minute and then doubled their advantage in the 55th minute. The Double-headed Eagle reduced the deficit in the 58th minute thanks to a header by Babouras from Deligiannis’ assist, before equalizing in the 81st minute again through Babouras, who took advantage of Roumiantsev‘s pass. Aris, however, found a way to get the three points with the last goal of the game with just five minutes left.
The next game for the Under-19s is against Ionikos in Athens.
