October had it all. A crazy match at the Toumba against Volos, victories over OFI and Apollon Smyrnis, a defeat at the «Georgios Karaiskakis», and a magical European night in Copenhagen. There were many players who stood out. We have narrowed the top performers down to three, however, and now it’s up to you to find the winner.
The first contender is Andrija Zivkovic . It was the month that Zile really let loose. It’s not only his three goals and three assists that stand out, but the Serb’s overall contrivution all over the pitch. Endless running, passion, intensity, self-sacrifice, being involved in all phases of the game, and being an important help in defense.
The next candidate is Karol Swiderski. The Polish forward scored his first two goals of the season against OFI and Apollon Smyrni and was generally in great form, being involved in countless battles with each opponent he came up against, and doing the so-called ‘dirty work’ in many games.
Douglas Augusto closes out the trio. The Brazileiro has been transformed by Razvan Lucescu into an alternative No.10. He scored two goals in five games, and was the man from whom the defensive function of the team started with his high pressing, while he was also crucial to the team’s build-up play.
