Under-17 side chalk up eighth win in a row [pictures]
PAOK’s Under-17 team racked up another comfortable victory on Sunday which keeps them at the top of the table with 25 points from nine games. Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s side defeated Lamia 5-0 in Souroti, recording what was an eighth consecutive three-point haul.
All of goals came in the second half, without this meaning that PAOK had any difficulties or were threatened.
In the 47th minute, Vagionas opened the scoring from Ignatious’ assist, and in the 65th minute, Gitersos made it 2-0, taking advantage of Lekas’ pass to score and double the advantage for his team.
In the 83rd minute Gitersos then provided an assist for Soupiadis to make it 3-0, while a similar phase of play in the 88th minute saw Soupiadis find the net from the rebound after Gitersos’ shot was saved by the opposting goalkeeper.
Finally, in the 89th minute Papageorgiou made it 5-0 with a fine individual effort.
