Swiderski wins Fans’ Man of the Match award
Karol Swiderski came out on top in the vote via paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App as the Fans’ Man of the Match for the Super League Interwetten Matchday 8 clash against Apollon Smyrnis.
PAOK came out in determined mood, scored early on, but then found themselves in a difficult position by conceding a goal from the opposition’s only real threatening moment. But, thanks to a well-worked counter-attack in the second half, PAOK managed to get in front again against the Light Brigade with a goal that paved the way to victory.
One of the major protagonists was Karol Swiderski. The Polish forward found the net for the first time since the game against OFI in Heraklion at the beginning of October, and he contributed the most to get the three-point haul.
In the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match, Swiderski received 32.77% of the votes to win the individual award.
In the second place was the excellent Andrija Zivkovic , who provided the assist assist for Giannis Michailidis’ goal to make it 3-1, and he was full of non-stop running to help his team in both defense and attack.
The podium was completed by Michailidis. The Greek central defender found the back of the net with an excellent header, while at the back he was a rock while also contributing significantly to his team’s attacking build-up play with some stellar distribution.
