PAOK vs Copenhagen: Facts & Figures
Ahead of PAOK’s UEFA Europa Conference League Matchday 4 clash with Copenhagen, paokfc.gr puts you in the picture about the background to the match.
- This is PAOK’s 8th European game to date this season, and the visitors are unbeaten since an opening defeat to Bohemians in Ireland.
- In the 6 games that followed, PAOK have recorded four wins and two draws. Three of the four wins were away from the Toumba, while the draws were both at home.
- This is the first time that PAOK will face Copenhagen at home after the 2-1 win in Denmark. This, however, is not PAOK’s first trip to Denmark. That was in 1977-78 for the Cup Winners’ Cup when they faced Vejle Boldklub in a match the Double-headed Eagle lost 3-0.
- In 2015-16 in the Europa League qualifiers against Brondby, PAOK drew in 1-1 (27′ Rosani – 21′ Ricardo Costa) in Denmark, after having effectively secured qualification from the Play Off tie already with 5-0 first-leg win at the Toumba. In that match, Robert Mak scored a hat-trick, while the other two goals came from Rodriguez and Pelkas.
- Against Danish clubs, Orfanos and Kermanidis have also scored for PAOK. They were the scorers in a 2-1 victory over Vejle Boldklub at the Toumba, which was overturned by the Danes’ 3-0 win in the second leg in Denmark.
