Under-16 side test their mettle against Zenit [pictures]
A European friendly match is always an important expereince for the younger age groups. Even more so when you take into consideration that these experiences have been denied them for two years due to the pandemic.
The Under-16s welcomed Zenit St. Petersburg on Sunday (31.10) morning in what was a very useful exercise, even if the match ended in a goalless draw. Both sides had the appetite for playing good football, with both sets of players having several opportunities to score despite not finding the back of the net.
It was, of course, among other things, a strong but necessary preparation match in view of the Under-16 team’s next match in the MFCA championship.
