PAOK B ready for the big kick-off

PAOK B showed that they are as ready as ever for the start of the Super League 2 season after producing a dynamic and decisive performance in their latest pre-season friendly.

23.10.2021

The Double-headed Eagle defeated Veria 2-0 in Souroti, playing some good football and raising expectations even further in view of their upcoming participation in hte championship, which unexpectedly starts on October 31, with Larissa as the first stop.

With one goal in each half, the first by Koulouris and the second by Koutsias – players born in 2004 – PAOK B won the match comfortably against a dynamic and experienced opponent. Perhaps more easily, in fact, than the final 2-0 suggests, if one takes into account that PAOK B also hit the crossbar and that Koutsias missed a clear-cut one-on-one chance, as well as other players wasting several further opportunities.

PAOK B opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a nice side-footed effort from Koulouris following Panidis’ assist, and in the 76th minute, Koutsias scored the second goal after exchanging passes with Fasidis.

PAOK B lineup:

Talichmanidis (46′ Bourganis), Panagiotou, Koulierakis, Tachatos, Kaloutsikidis (73′ Apostolopoulos), Uentraogo, Salamouras (80′ Meletidis), Koulouris (32′ Fasidis), Panidis (55′ Koutsias), Tzimas (58′ Lyratzis), Chatzistravos (58′ Grosdis).
