Under-17s rout PAS 6-1 [pictures]
PAOK’s Under-17 side romped to another big Super League win with a fine display of possession football, defeating PAS Giannina 6-1. Tsiapakidis’ and Hagan’s team recorded a sixth successive win (in seven matches) against their rivals from Epirus at Souroti.
PAS’ resistance was broken by PAOK when Filon played in Gitersos in the the 19th minute to open the scoring, before Georgiadis converted a free-kick effort in the 32nd minute to make it 2-0. In the 51st minute, the visitors managed to score to reduce the deficit. However, in the 55th minute Adam produced a fine individual goal to restore PAOK’s two-goal advantage at 3-1. Then, on the hour mark, Adam produced a great pass to set up Vassiliadis to score and make it 4-1.
The same two players combined again for PAOK’s fifth goal five minutes from full-time, when Adam scored again, converting a rebound from Vassiliadis’ shot. Finally, in the 87th minute, Adam completed the scoring – and his hat-trick with another goal from Ignatiou’s assist.
