Vote for the BOX MVP of September 2021

As much as it may sound like an oxymoron – since we are still at an erly stage in the season – September was a key month for the club. Faced with lots of difficulties, the team managed to lay some solid foundations for the rest of the season.

06.10.2021

A month that began upside down and ended with the team getting back on their feet and showing the kind of character that breeds optimism for the future. The last month was one where PAOK had to sit their first exams of the season, and the club passed them with their own style.

Paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App, in collaboration with BOX, are now looking for the most valuable player of the team during what was a breathless month.

The first candidate is Stefan Schwab . He may not have scored goals or made any assists in September, but his calming and hard-working presence in midfield has been crucial in helping the team win matches. Interceptions, tackling, pressing, calmness, character, and his change of pace have all been key factors.

Excellent both defensively and in attack, he continued from where he left off in August, when he picked up this very award. Will the Austrian take home the trophy again?

To do so, he has to beat off competition from two very strong teammates.

The first is Diego Biseswar. The midfielder from Suriname has been in excellent form and has reveled in showing it at every opportunity, producing some great performances. In September, Biseswar played in six games, he scored a very beautiful goal, made two assists and also a won penalty, with his appearance against AEK undoubtedly being the highlight.

Finally, there’s Alexandros Paschalakis, who is also in contention for the award. The Greece international goalkeeper entered Goldkeeper mode and stopped everything in front of him. Three clean sheets against Lincoln, Astera Tripolis and AEK, a buzzer-beating save in Agrinio against Panetolikos, as well as excellent saves against Slovan Bratislava. Paschalakis is another player in superb form and has helped the team win valuable points.
