Under-19s win in Crete

Just as they were called upon to do, PAOK’s Under-19 team put their heavy UEFA Youth League defeat behind them with a convincing 3-0 win over OFI in Heraklion.

03.10.2021

PAOK’s record so far in the Super League championship in four matches is three wins and one draw. The next test, this time against Volos, will take place after the international break.

The Double-headed Eagle had the upper hand throughout the match and it is no exaggeration to say that not only did the visitors find the going easy, but they had plenty of opportunities to inflict what could have been an embarrassing rout for the home side.

In the 16th minute, PAOK went ahead through Koutentakis, who scored from an assist by Darelas. The score was then 2-0 to the visitors in the 64th minute, with Smyrlis winning a penalty that Aventisian successfully converted. Finally, in the 80th minute, Koulouris made it 3-0 with a nice side-footed effort.

PAOK lineup:

Monastirlis, Tsopouroglou, Aventisian, Zilo, Kastidis (83′ Kottas), Tsikos, Koulouris (83′ Garnetas), Koutentakis, Varela (83′ Kedikoglou), Darelas (57′ Roumiantsev), Smyrlis (66′ Kitsakis).
