Biseswar wins Fans’ Man of the Match award
Diego Biseswar came out on top in the poll for the Fans’ Man of the Match for the Super League Interwetten derby match against AEK at the Toumba.
The first derby of the season had an undisputed winner. PAOK prevailed against AEK at the Toumba via a 2-0 scoreline, picked up three valuable points, and extended the team’s winning streak.
A major protagonist of the match was Diego Biseswar. The Suriname midfielder seems to be a player reborn after his return to the Double-headed Eagle, and against The Union he produced another display of high quality.
Apart from scoring a goal and winning a penalty, The Artist was all over the pitch, also helping out the defense, while always posing a constant threat to the oppoisition’s defenders.
And logically in the poll for Fans’ Man of the Match, it was Biseswar who received 77.97% of the votes to win the individual award.
From the rest of the team, only Stefan Schwab managed to post a double-digit percentage. The Austrian was excellent, dominating the midfield and was the ‘brains’ behind the team’s build-up play.
