The Under-19s’ European squad

Europe is in the air for PAOK’s Under-19 side as the club’s young stars begin their UEFA Youth League adventure tomorrow, Wednesday 29.09 at 19.00 against MSK Ζilina of Slovakia at the Kaftanzogloio Stadium.

28.09.2021

Hoping that this season’s European journey will be a long one, the team coached by Malezas, Papavassiliou and Mitta concluded their preparations on Tuesday afternoon, without any new surprises fortunately, and the players are ready for the game. After all, the Under-19 team already had – and still must – to manage without the injured Iordanidis, Melenikiotis, Tasiouras, Sinanai, Bambouras, Spyridopoulos, Lipiridis and Katsambis.

However, the positive thing is that head coach Stelios Malezas will have Balomenos, Aventisian and Tsopouroglou – players born in 2002, who belong either to the senior men’s side or PAOK B, as well as Koutentakis (2003) at his disposal for the European premiere.

The second leg will take place in Slovakia on October 20. If PAOK qualifies, they will then wait to learn who their next opponents are for the next round of matches that will take place on November 3 and 24.

The 20-member PAOK squad for tomorrow’s game includes the following players: Konstantinos Balomenos, Dimitrios Monastirlis, Vassilios Kitsakis, Nikolaos Deligiannis, Aventis Aventisian, Konstantinos Kastidis, Angelos Zilos, Zisis Tsikos, Dimitrios Kotikos, Dimitrios Kottas, Titos Kountentakis, Victor Rumiyantsev, Konstantinos Goumas, Athanasios Garnetas, Georgios Koulouris, Nikolaos Spyrakos, Lambros Smyrlis, Argyrios Darelas, Dimitrios Tsopouroglou, Gustavo Varela, Alexandros Kedikoglou.
