Under-17s beat Lamia 3-1
PAOK’s Under-17 team did not have too much difficult in dispatching Lamia on the road. The Double-headed Eagle chalked up a second consecutive league win with a 3-1 success to climb into top spot in Group B with seven points. The next game is againt Larissa on Saturday, September 25.
The hosts went ahead in the 37th minute, however PAOK quickly found their footing on the pitch and completely dominated the game afterwards. In the 50th minute Tzimas won the ball in the area and made it 1-1. Then, in the 58th minute, Almasidis fired in a shot which was saved by the opposition goalkeeper, only for Vassiliadis to ram home the rebound to put PAOK ahead. Finally, in the 63rd minute, Pasachidis diverted the ball into the back of the net to make it 3-1 after Scnaucner’s initial shot was saved.
Petros Tsiapakidis’ side also hit the woodwork twice, in the 60th and 75th minutes.
