Taking flight for qualification
The first month of the season concludes with a match that will decide if PAOK’s European adventure will continue in the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage or not. The squad travel to Croatia in order to face Rijeka and secure qualification.
The team’s preparations were wrapped up on Wednesday morning (25.08) at the Toumba. In addition to the necessary warm-up and rondo, the final training session included work on the tactical aspects with the emphasis placed on the static phases and set-pieces, while there was a mini-friendly in the finale.
Ingi Ingason and Rodrigo Soares continued to work on their recovery programs and will not be available for Razvan Lucescu for the upcoming game, nor will long-term knee injury victim Nelson Oliveira, who recently began his long road to recovery from suffer ACL damage.
