Nelson Oliveira injury update
Nelson Oliveira was injured during PAOK’s match against Bohemians in the Europa Conference League. Following medical examinations, the diagnosis is a partial rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament.
The additional medical examinations underwent by the Portuguese confirmed that Oliveira will have to undergo surgery in order to solve the problem in his knee.
The operation will be performed on Thursday (19.08) in Portugal by orthopedist Jose Carlos Noronia. Oliveira will remain in his homeland for the first stage of his recovery program, and then he will return to Thessaloniki for the remainder of the rehabilitation process.
His absence is estimated to be around six months.
