PAOK paid for their mistakes in Dublin, lost 2-1 to Bohemians and put themselves in a difficult position in view of the second leg match at the Toumba. PAOK may have dominated overall but did not convert the many opportunities they fashioned, while the hosts on their part did the exact opposite and punished every mistake made by the black and white defense.

Nelson Oliveira was one of the best Double-headed Eagle players on the night. The Portuguese forward made his competitive debut for PAOK as a starter and scored his team’s only goal with an excellent header from Schwab’s cross.

In the poll for Fans’ Man of the Match, Oliveira received 53.67% of the public vote and won the first individual title of the season.
