Warda: «We want to lock up second place»
Amr Warda gave his thoughts and insights about the upcoming Super League Interwetten Play Offs local derby clash against Aris to the Novasports cameras. Read the Egyptian’s comments here on paokfc.gr.
On what he attributes the team’s change of fortunes and form during the Play Offs:
«We are more solid, more stable, and we are better in the tactical aspect; we are also fighting for each other and I hope we continue like this.»
On his own personal appearance in the game with AEK at the OAKA:
«I am a player of the team and when I enter the field, I give everything for the team. And that’s what I did at the OAKA. I contributed an assist, and I also made the pass for the penalty we won. I gave everything, but it is not only me, the team helped me to succeed too, and I know how to give everything for them.»
On whether he feels justified in returning to PAOK:
«Yes, yes of course. I am very happy. I feel like I am back with my family and when you return it’s always beautiful.»
On the game with Aris, and if he feels it will decide who finishes in second place in the standings:
«A local derby is a derby. We are a great team and I think tomorrow we can get the victory and finish in second place.»
On how he expects that match to go:
«It will not be an easy game. I said that derbies are special, and this one is always a special game for Thessaloniki. We have good momentum, we have a lot of quality, and we are in good condition and so I think we will win.»
On whether he has the Greek Cup final with Olympiacos in the back of his mind:
«The team, the staff, and the supporters are excited about this game. It makes sense to have it in the back of our minds, but at the moment we are focused on tomorrow’s game, as well as the next two Play Offs matches that are left. Once they are over we will have time to concentrate on the final.»
