Seven tough battles, four wins, two draws and one defeat. A change of formation, a new look to the team, some excellent defensive performances, and generally a big  improvement which brought positive results with many protagonists stepping up. We have selected the best three and we need your help to pick out the top performer.

Our first candidate is Alexandros Paschalakis. The Goldkeeper found his good form onmce more and was the catalyst in many of last month’s games. Guiding his defenders with authority, dominating his penalty area, and making some impressive saves, he definitely helped keep the team on its feet. The main highlights were his two buzzer-beating saves against Aris and Panathinaikos at Charilaou and the Toumba respectively.

Next up it’s Andelino Vieirinha. He came to teh club as a winger in his first spell, then converted to a full-back, and now he has found a new role as a central defender. The Leader was called upon to take on a new role and he has proved a big success. He has played both on the right and left sides of a three-man central defence last month, and he provided the team with plenty of solutions. With his experience he was able to always be in the right position at the right time, while he also made some key tackles and helped significantly in the team’s build-up play.

The third contender is the red-hot Andrija Zivkovic . Zile continued to put his foot on the gas in April. He scored three goals, two against Olympiacos at the Toumba, and an excellent lob in the second leg of the Greek Cup semi-final clash with AEK, and he is looking to repeat the success of March, when he won the monthly competition.
