Paschalakis wins Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match award
Alexandros Paschalakis came out on top in the poll for the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match for the Super League Play Off win over Aris at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium.
PAOK came away from Aris with a 0-1 win. Schwab’s early goal gave the Double-headed Eaagle the opportunity to manage the rest of the game how they wanted, and they did so flawlessly, with Aris failing to find a way past the PAOK defence. And whenever they did get through on goal, they were denied by an exceptional Alexandros Paschalakis.
The Goldkeeper produced an impressive display at the «Kleanthis Vikelidis«. He dominated his penalty area, cleared every shor, cross or ball that came his way, producing some vital saves when it mattered most. The highlight was his superb save from close range in the second minute of added time.
And so it came as little surprise when in the poll for the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match, Paschalakis received the largest portion of the votes at 48,31% , which was enough to see him win the individual award.
In second place was Schwab , who apart from the scoring the winning goal produced an assured display in midfield, while in third place was Karol Swiderski, the architect of the goal. The Polish forward was also the main attacking threat, and was full of running chasing down every ball and battling all over the pitch.
