Andrija Zivkovic ends Tzolis hot streak
After winning four months in a row, our very own Golden Boy Christos Tzolis had turned the BOX MVP of the Month contest into a one-horse show. But Andrija Zivkovic has managed to stop his teammate in his tracks this time. Zile is the March BOX MVP.
He began the season impressively. Somewhere along the way he experienced a dip in form. But in recent months, however, he has upped his game and is showing it with every chance he gets.
During March especially, Zivkovic was a joy to watch. He produced a one man show against ΑΕΚ in the premiere of the Super League Interwetten Play Offs, caused headaches for every defensive line he came up against, and was our main attacking force with endless running.
A marker for how good he was is the fact that he earned a recall to the Serbia national team fold for the World Cup qualifiers, pulling on his country’s shirt for the first time in a long while.
And in the poll for the ΒΟΧ MVP of March, the Serb received 57,01% of the votes to take home the individual award.
In second place was Ingi Ingason, who was as reliable as ever at the back, while he also flexed his attacking muscles with a goal and by winning a penalty in the match at the Toumba against Aris.
The podium was completed by Karol Swiderski, who is also in great form these days, earning a call-up with Poland and scoring one goal and contributing an assist for PAOK.
