Paschalakis wins Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match award
Alexandros Paschalakis came out on top in the poll for the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match for the Greek Cup semi-final match against AEK.
It was a big win. PAOK edged a step closer to the Greek Cup final by beating ΑΕΚ 1-0 away at the ΟΑΚΑ, building a significant advantage.
The game was not one of quality, chances were at a premium, but a stunning free-kick from Thomas Murg in the final moments of the game was eniough for the Double-headed Eagle.
A key player on the night was undoubtedly Alexandros Paschalakis. The PAOK custodian only had to intervene on a couple of ocassions to deny the home side, but his overall display heled make the difference in keeping a clean sheet.
And in the poll for the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match, Paschalakis received 57,19% of the votes to claim the individual award.
In second place was the Double-headed Eagle’s goalscorer. Murg may have only been on the pitch for a few minutes, touching the ball only a couple of times, nut with one of those touches we managed to win the game.
