Vote for January’s PAOK TV Play of the Month
Three moments of inspiration. It’s time to decide who wins the PAOK TV Play of the Month for January via the poll on paokfc.gr.
The first play in contention is Ingi Ingason’s goal against Volos. The strike was the result of an excellent combination between Karol Swiderski and the Icelandic defender, the former flicking a headed assist from the front post position for his teammate to convert coming in behind. And with that play, Swarovski is the first contender for the award.
The second play in contention did not actually yierld a goal, but it was one of the highlights of the season. Against OFI in Heraklion, Michael Krmencik denied the laws of physics to direct a header goalwards from Adelino Vieirinha’s center. Unfortunately the woodwork prevented what would have been a beautiful goal, but the Czech is still in the running for the prize here.
Finally, our third contending play is the definition of team work. In the game against Panetolikos at the Toumba, the visitors created a lot of problems for the hosts with their pressing high up the pitch, but in the final minutes of the first half, PAOK managed to unlock their defender with a brilliant passing move that ended with Thomas Murg scoring. Andrija Zivkovic is the player who will be responsible for the play, as it was he who gave the Austrian midfielder the final assist with a superb, defence-splitting pass.
