Warda wins Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match award
Amr Warda came out on top in the poll for the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match for the Super League Interwetten Matchday 21 encounter against Apollon Smyrnis.
PAOK threw away two points in the home match against Apollon Smyrnis, paying dearly once more for their mistakes, both in attack by missing a host of opportunities, and also at the back by shipping two goals from defensive errors.
The Double-headed Eagle’s best performer on the night was Amr Warda. The Egyptian was the player who opened the score, while he also battled all over the pitch for the PAOK cause, being one of the most active members of the home side and a constant source of danger.
And in the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match poll, Warda received 57,45% of the votes to win the individual award.
The only player who came close to matching his stats in the vote and get into double digits was Ingi Ingason, who was also on target again and also produced a solid defensive display.
