Lamprou wins Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match award
Lazaros Lamprou came out on top in the poll for the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match for the Greek Cup match against Larissa at the Alkazar.
PAOK recorded two wins over Larissa in the Greek Cup, coming away from the Alkazar with a 2-1 away win in the second leg to rubber-stamp their place in the quarter-finals.
PAOK’s top performer on the night was Lazaros Lamprou. After being handed a starting berth by the coaching team, although he did not find the net or provide an assist, that was down to bad luck. He hit the woodwork twice and was the teams for creative and threatening attacking force in general, causing the home side problems throughout the match.
And according to the poll for the Protergia Fans’ Man of the Match, Lamprou received 40,02% of the votes to win the individual award.
The only other player who managed to come close was Haris Tsingaras. The young midfielder scored his first professional goal and was a dominating force in the middle of the park.
