Giannoulis moves to Norwich City

PAOK FC announces the transfer of Dimitris Giannoulis to Norwich City. The English club have signed the player on loan for the next six months, with a mandatory purchase option in case of promotion to the Premier League, while the Double-headed Eagle will also receive percentance of the value of any future transfer of the player.

19.01.2021

Giannoulis joined PAOK at the age of 18 from Vataniakos as a winger. While at the club he went out on loan to various clubs which proved to be a positive step for his development, turning him into an accomplished full-back. He spent loan spells at Pierikos, Anorthosis, Veria, and Atromitos.

And although his first few seasons away from the Toumba Stadium were difficult, at Veria he began to get accustomed to life in the top flight of Greek football, winning the title of ‘Best Newcomer’. At Atromitos he went on to establish himself as one of the best full-backs in the division, and won a return to the Toumba.

With PAOK he then proved his pedigree and great quality, by winning the Greek league title and two Greek Cups, also becoming a regular member of the Greece national team squad. Giannoulis now leaves for England, having managed to make 77 appearances in a PAOK shirt, scoring two goals and providing 10 assists in the process.

Dimitris, thank you for your contribution to the club and we wish you every success in your future career!

Thank you Mr.NoBrakes!
