2020 Twitter: Top 10
Instant, short, lively and definitely more neurotic than other Social Media. Also, it’s not grouped together with Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp! Twitter remains one of our favorites, even if it doesn’t have as much penetration in Greece compared to other social media platforms.
And that certainly doesn’t stop us from having as much fun as we can with 140 characters (because we’re old school). Twitter is part of our everyday life and we have gathered together the best tweets of 2020. A Top 10 that has everything. News, gifs, jokes, a lot of Greco-Turkish friendship and one farewell. Let’s have a look then:

The entire planet watched in shock at the terrible events that took place in America. The PAOK family could not just sit and watch, sending its own message.
8) When #TheLeader does things his way

In his first match of the season, Adelino Vieirinha went out on the pitch with plenty of appetite and one PAS Giannina defender paid for it, falling by the wayside after trying to stop the Portuguese. The GIFs were some of our favorites.
7) PAOK Vs Turkey

The draw with Besiktas in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers made our account in our neighbouring country very popular.

Moussa Wague sufferd a serious knee injury in the match against Aris, a story that made news all around the world. Once again, we wish Moussa a speedy recovery.
5) A beautiful night

As you’ve understood, the mass of Twitter and Social Media in general in Turkey has starred already in this Top 10. On the pitch, however, there was only one protagonist, and that was PAOK, who progressed thanks to a big win over Besiktas.
4) A charm offensive from Turkey
#UCL @Besiktas will be our rival in 2nd qualifying round of @ChampionsLeague #PAOKBES #draw pic.twitter.com/jQA1Ha6ITx
— PAOK FC (@PAOK_FC) August 10, 2020
It felt like we were watching them from behind a screen sending ten messages a second. Flags, images and google translate-type phrases trying to make fun or even provoke other Twitter users. Anyway, thank you to the Besiktas supporters for the interaction.
3) A wonderful night
#FinalScore We did it! #PAOK Vs @SLBenfica 2-1! We are in @ChampionsLeague Play Offs #PAOKSLB #UCL #RiseUp pic.twitter.com/LRZILwNtYr

A night to remember. A historic win and qualification against a powerful Benfica side. PAOK shocked Europe with the big win, and the result had Twitter on good form…
2) The story of our summers
There are 24 hours in a day, the sun rises in the morning, water boils at 100 degrees, and we play against @SLBenfica or @AFCAjax every summer #TrueStory #UCL #draw pic.twitter.com/deCFsm213e
— PAOK FC (@PAOK_FC) August 31, 2020
The main reason that we love Twitter is because we can express ourselves freely. This is one of the most characteristic examples.
1) A difficult farewell
It’s not a goodbye. It’s see you again #TheJoker. Thank you for making PAOK Academy kids believe that dreams do come true. #PAOK #RiseUp Dear @Fenerbahce please take care of him. pic.twitter.com/dquIWTysLZ

It’s very tough to say goodbye to someone after so many years. Dimitris Pelkas left for Turkey and the video which the club’s New Media team prepared made it to the No.1 spot in the Top 10.
