Batteries were recharged. Minds were emptied. The intensity was left behind. Now, however, the time has come to get back to work ahead of the team’s return to competitive action.

27.12.2020

The Double-headed Eagle squad gathered in Nea Mesimvria for the first time following the short break for Christmas. The first positive news was that all of the tests for coronavirus came back negative.

And since the squad was declared Covid-free, the players went out onto the training pitches for a program which was focused on energizing the group, so that they can gradually build up their tempo. There was also work on technique and tactics.

Fernando Varela trained normally without any issues, while Enea Mihaj returned from Italy and continued his rehabilitation program featuring work with the physios and in the swimming pool.

The only absentees were Douglas Augusto and Rodrigo Souares, who were both granted some extra leave for the holidays due to the long journeys involved back and forth to Brazil.

On Monday (28.12), PAOK will train at 16:00 in Nea Mesimvria, while on Tuesday (29.12) there will be another round of Covid-19 tests scheduled.
