On how he feels after returning to full training:

«I feel very good! I’m back at home again, and so I feel good.»

On how the squad is shaping up:

«The climate is good, on the back of a few wins. We have also had some time now to work with the new coaching team and are able to produce what they want, so everything is fine.»

On Pablo Garcia and the new coaching setup:

«The last time I worked with him we were teammates. There is mutual respect from both sides and that is very good for me. It is easy to work together. I am a player and they are coaches. The situation now is a good one. We all learn from him and we help him too, to improve all together as a unit.»

On the status of the squad:

«I have met with most of the newcomers. Unfortunately, some of them were representing their national teams during this period and I have not had the chance to get to know them so well. But we have time to get to know each other better. They are all good players and good characters.»

On how much he is looking forward to playing again:

«I’m looking forward to the first game! I’m been out for a long time and I want to play again.»

On his readiness:

«The truth is I’m not 100% ready. I still need some time to get where I need to be, but I want to play.»

On the period he was away from the squad:

«I do not want to dwell too much on the past. It was difficult for me, but it’s now in the past and forgotten.»

On the events around the renewal of his contract:

«In general, it is difficult to answer what happened last summer. It was not up to me to provide a solution or an end to the matter. Everyone knew what I wanted. We wasted some time, but I am trying to make up for that now.»

On what he expects from the team:

«Now I expect every day for this team to get better. To give 100% for this club, because that’s what the club deserves. Personally, I will give what I can, as I have done for so many years.»

On the game with PAS Giannina:

«We expect them to play as they have in their matches that they’ve played so far. They press, they cover a lot of ground and are full of running. We’re playing at the Toumba, however, and we are thinking only about getting the victory! If we play well, we don’t need to pay much attention to the opponent. If we are focused, then things will go as we want them to. What is importnat for us we must do what we’re supposed to do.»

On his relationship with [former coach] Abel Ferreira:

«From my side, everything was fine. I was always clear and up front with him.»
