PAOK named Digital Brand of the Year again

PAOK consolidated its position as one of the top companies setting the trends and leading the developments in the digital space by winning seven Digital Media Awards, taking its tally for the year to 16, as well as retaining its title of Digital Brand of the Year for a second consecutive year.

Until recently it was unimaginable for football to be associated with the words aesthetics and creativity. Neither was there any valid reason to discuss the case for digital development and content production that could be on a par with some of the big companies from industries such as advertising, design, development.

PAOK entered teh game to change this perception and stereotype, producing a consistent communication and digital strategy for the last few years. Firstly, the club established itself in the field of design, winning several EVGE awards for the Toumba Magazine, paokfc.gr, a series of posters for the Greek Cup finals, and the PAOK FC Official App. And after that, teh club has managed to conquered the top of the table in the digital arena.

In 2019, PAOK participated in the Digital Media Awards for the first time. It’s a competition that highlights and rewards the best digital creations in Greece, regardless of the subject matter. And up against multinationals, advertising and marketing agencies, the Double-headed Eagle won nine awards and was named Digital Brand of the Year for Greece.

And this year, 2020, has proved to be the year that PAOK has established itself at the very top of Digital Media, picking up seven more awards and dominating most of the categories in which it took part, while also retaining its title as Digital Brand of the Year for the second year in a row. PAOK TV received a Gold Award, as the best project of the year in Greece, while the way in which PAOK covered the impressive Super League championship celebration at the Toumba was also honored with a Gold Award.

The nominations were evaluated by a Jury of 35 Digital Media experts chaired by Helen Konstantopoulos, Vice President, International Circulation & Development of The New York Times.

The club’s Viber Community, your own chat buddy, who is there to keep you company and bring you the news of your favorite team in an alternative way. It was the only award in the category for the best use of non-traditional Social Media.

An award also for a PAOK cameraman. The three teasers of The Invincibles Movie went viral and were awarded by the jury as the top campaign.
