Montreal is decked out in black and white

With the guidance, knowhow and “blessings” of the PAOK Academy, PAOK has rubber-stamped its presence in Canada, through its collaboration with the Montreal PAOK Academy.

30.07.2020

The foundations were laid a while ago, when the first major camp was held in the Canadian city last winter, and now the collaboration is growing stronger than ever with the announcement of Stelios Themelis being appointed as the new technical director of the Montreal PAOK Academy. He is a former PAOK player, coach and holder of a UEFA ‘A’. diploma.

Themelis has gone… transatlantic in order to train, to share his knowledge, and to build from scratch the academy is what is arguably a «virgin» football market.

The owner of the Montreal PAOK academy, Pantelis Stefanidis, who is passionate about the 52 young players (aged 6 to 14) who are signed up at the organisation, emphasized «this collaboration with Mr. Themelis gives even greater depth to the effort, while at the same time also strengthens our knowhow».

It is worth noting that the Montreal PAOK Montreal even coaches children who attend the Greek schools of the city.
