Before the month of July, Michailidis had only chalked up 21 minutes of competitive action in a PAOK shirt for the first team. In his first two matches in the month he came off the bench. After that, however, he was given a place in the starting XI and never looked back, demonstrating emphatically what he is capable of achieving at the top level.

Abel Ferreira found the ideal player in Michailidis to operate on the left side of a three-man defence, and the young defender grabbed his chance with both hands.

Consistent, focused and combative at the back, he is also crucial and composed in attack. Excellent with the ball at his feet, the highlight of his appearances was the incredible free-kick he scored against OFI in Crete.

And so, in the vote for the July’s 11888 MVP, Michailidis received 64.77% of the votes to win his first individual award with the Dikefalos tou Vorra.

In second place was Alexandros Paschalakis, who produced some excellent saves, while the podium was completed with Mauricio, who gave absolutely everything in midfield during the final month of the campaign.
