Six-gun show from Under-17’s

PAOK’s Under-17 blew through Lamia like a hurricane on Saturday, defeating Lamia 6-0 to remain on their perch on top of table with six matches to go ahead of the Final Four.

In a first half full of goalscoring opportunities, it came as somewhat of a surprise that PAOK only managed one goal. That came after 42 minutes when Smyrlis played in Kountentakis with a great assist and he made it 1-0.

In the second half, however, PAOK made the most of their chances and were in unstoppable mood. In the 51st minute Smyrlis made it 2-0 from Koulouris’ pass, and four minutes later it was Koulouris’ turn to get on the scoresheet when he converted an assist from Xepapadakis. Koutsidis headed home shortly afterwards to make it 4-0 from a Koulouris corner on 73 minutes, and then with eight minute left Kedikoglou made it 5-0. Kedikoglou then grabbed his second and his team’s sixth of the day in the last minute of normal time with Smyrlis providing the assist this time.
