In January we saw our midfield maestro do a whole variety of things. Firstly, he showed his versatility by playing in an advanced attacking midfield role. He handed out a flurry of assists. He was full of running and intensity, going for every ball and every challenge with passion. And undoubtedly, he played a key role in every game.

Josip Misic is rightly considered to be one of the best central midfielders in the Super League, and over the last month he demonstrated the reasons why yet again with his exceptional performances.

During a month in which PAOK was burdened with a packed fixture list, Mr Vertical was simply top of the class. He responded to the challenges put in from of him in each and every game with the minimum of fuss and a ruthlessly efficient cold-bloodedness that we have come to hugely appreciate.

And so, in the vote for the 11888 MVP for January, Misic received an astonishing 70,52% of the votes to win the individual award for the third time in six months, following on from his previous awards for September and October.

In second place was Adelino Vieirinha , who score twice and also contributed one assist, while Dimitris Limnios was third. The Greek winger was a threat to every defence he came up against, and he also found the net against OFI in Heraklion in the Greek Cup tie.
