Vote for the Regency Casino Best Goal of 2019
Just before we bid farewell to 2019, paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App, in collaboration with Regency Casino, would like to give you the opportunity to vote for the best PAOK goal of the year. Which strike will win it? It’s over to you…
A magical year. PAOK was the clear, dominating force in Greece in 2019. Such dominance required a lot of goals. Some of them coming in the form of inspired and incredible strikes, and others not so much but just as important. The time has come to select the Regency Casino Best Goal of 2019.
A total of 10 goals and six scorers, with only one award up for grabs.
Adelino Vierinha gets the ball rolling with three goals. The Leader produced a brilliant free-kick against Asteras in Tripolis in January, a sumptuous strike on the run against Aris at the Toumba in February, and finally an absolute piledriver of a hit in March in Agrinio against Panetolikos.
Next up it’s Dimitris Pelkas, with a powerful shot against Larissa at the AEL FC Arena, which almost gave PAOK the title, while Chuba Akpom joins the party with his unique finish against AEK to win the Greek Cup at the OAKA.
Enter Dimitris Giannoulis next with this beautiful strike against Slovan Bratislava, which unfortunately was not quite enough to earn PAOK a place in the Europa League group stage.
Then there’s Josip Misic, who has been in scintillating form for the club since the start of the season. His goal in September against Aris and in November against OFI Crete are also in the running for the top prize.
The list is complete with Karol Swiderski’s memorable flick against Lamia, from Miroslav Stoch’s assist, and Akpom’s clinical finish following Misic’s delightful slide-rule pass against Panetolikos in Agrinio just a few days ago.
