Ingason wins Fans Man of the Match award

Sverrir Ingi Ingason came out on top in the paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App Fans’ Man of the Match vote for the match against Olympiacos at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium on Matchday 12 of the 2019-20 Super League.

Last weekend’s top of the table derby turned out to be the tightly-contested battle that was anticipated between Greece’s best two teams. PAOKwent in front, played some good football, but Olympiacos managed to equalize which meant that both teams had to settle for a share of the points.

One of the top players on the night was undoubtedly Ingi Ingason. The Icelandic defender continued his impressive form and also helped the team up front. Apart from his flawless display in the center of defence, The Iceman also opened the scoring for PAOK, which was also his first for the club, from close range after Jose Sa had saved his initial header from Josip Misic’s set-piece.

In the voting for the Fans’ Man of the Match via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App, Ingason collected 58.47% of the votes to win the award.

In second place was goalkeeper Zivko Zivkovic, who also produced another superb display between the posts. Olympiacos needed a penalty kick to beat the Serbian as he produced a string of fine saves to ensure PAOK kept its unbeaten record intact.
