Vote for October’s nak Play of the Month
Three players, three magical plays, but only one prize. Who will win the nak Play of the Month for October? It’s over to you to decide via the vote on paokfc.gr.
We’re the first to admit that this particular competition is a strange one. Firstly, all three plays took place in the same match, the 2-0 win over Volos at the Panthessaliko Stadium. Also, for two of the trio of players in the hat for the prize, it’s the first time that they are a play of the month contender this season. Finally, one of the plays is actually a goal. Confused? Hold on a minute, let us explain more.
The first contender is Miroslav Stoch. The Slovakian midfielder laid on a superb back-heel pass to Giannoulis, who sent over a perfect cross for Limnios to head home PAOK’s first goal in the game.
Next up is Zivko Zivkovic. The Serbian goalkeeper took it upon himself to play the role of stopper vs. ‘keeper, rushing out of his box to produce a superb tackle to stop a Volos attacker who was shaping up for a one-on-one.
Last but not least is Dimitris Pelkas. He came off the bench to help the team lock-up the result. His sumptuous Panenka penalty goal sealed the win and is the final candidate for the award.
